Thursday January 6, 2022; 7pm
The Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc will celebrate the birthday of Joan of Arc with a festive procession and display culminating in the coronation of the reigning King Charles VII. Along the way there will be a toast to the Maid and reigning king and reigning Queen Yolande at the Historic New Orleans Collection / Williams Research Center balcony where friends and dignitaries will gather to meet the procession. At the St. Louis Cathedral, the Maid Joan will receive her sword and a blessing in a solemn ceremony. Along the route krewe members will gift the crowd with commemorative handmade throws. This year the krewe will debut the new Medieval Flag Corp developed in partnership with the NOLA Angels and the hand cannons used by Joan's army to bring down the Gates of Orleans.
