Phunny Phorty Phellows Parade
January 6, 7pm
The Phellows are an historic Mardi Gras organization that first took to the streets in the 1800’s. Known for satirical parades, today’s krewe members’ costumes often reflect topical themes. Every year on Twelfth Night, the krewe participates in a “Carnival Countdown.” Afterwards, the Krewe loads up on a streetcar for a merry ride up and down the entire St. Charles Streetcar line. Gather along the tracks to cheer, wave and catch the first beads of Mardi Gras season with the Phunny Phorty Phellows!
