Home to the oldest African-American Catholic church in the United States, St. Augustine is a staple in the historic Tremé neighborhood and the entire city of New Orleans. In addition to their weekly masses and rosary readings, St. Augustine Church opens its doors on select dates each December for their annual holiday concerts.
Produced by French Quarter Festivals, Inc. as part of Holidays New Orleans Style, the St. Augustine Holiday Concert Series feature riveting performances of beloved holiday and gospel classics by local jazz and gospel musicians.
Typically running for an hour, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. these concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are welcome to help fund the cost of the series.
